I'm going to assume that the IDM issue is the cause for my intermittent misfire. It's only bad sometimes on a cold start but after it warms up i'm good. The early 99 7.3 IDM used a much lower voltage than the ones after it. Recommended upgrading to a later model IDM for better injector performance.
